Sacred Earth arranged a wonderful 5 day experience for us in the Kakadu, around Katherine and in the Litchfield NP. We told her we would like to see birds and do some wild swimming and Danielle our guide and driver gave us all that and more. She was a great companion, knowledgeable, flexible, well organised and good company. From the first early morning birdwatching at Fogg Dam, through five days of crocs and rock art, rivers, waterfalls and canyons, to the last night at memorable Mt Bundy Station, we had an unforgettable time and loved every minute. The Yellow Water sunset guided cruise was just wonderful. Thanks Dani, we appreciate your professional expertise. Ruth and Mick,

We would love to do another trip with Sacred Earth Safaris. Darwin to Broome via the Gibb River Road was a wonderful experience. You made it comfortable with great accommodation in the outback. You helped create a wonderful cohesion amongst the 10 of us doing the trip. Your local knowledge and Aboriginal experiences gave us an insight others we have spoken to missed out on, on trips with other operators. We will never forget this wonderful trip and your personal attention to detail.
Rob, Jenny, Helen and Eric, Kimberley scheduled 9 day tour, July 2016
The Wright family vacation would not have been complete with our Sacred Earth Safari. This was a fantastic opportunity to see many monumental pieces of Australia in just a few short days. Between the authentic places to stay, the numerous beautiful falls we enjoyed and the wealth of knowledge we gathered from you, it was truly a marvelous trip. Some of our favourite memories from our entire trip include moments during our safari. We will always remember being on "Wallaby watch" at all times and when we stood 5 feet from a wild wallaby.
Wright family from the USA, 3 day Top End private tour, May 2016
We had the best time on our trip, we loved being able to personalize the itinerary so as to suit our multigenerational family. Danielle thank-you so much for your suggestions, we would never have looked into going to Hawk Dreaming if you hadn't done so and it was a major highlight ! Thanks for arranging meals to suit all our varied tastes and for your flexibility whilst on tour to deviate from our initial itinerary at our request. Susan from Melbourne, Top End private tour, July 2016
Hi Dave and Danielle,
Our group from the Gold Coast have just returned home safely. A huge thank you to you guys for hosting us on the nine day Pilbara experience.
I was "on a high", when I saw the OKA 4WD bus ready to be our tour vehicle. As we travelled it was comfortable, dust free and a means of going well off the beaten track--how does Dave know where to find Aboriginal rock carvings? It's unbelievable.
We climbed down into most gorges in Karijini. They were steep and even steeper to get up. Sights and colours, I have never seen before. Dave knew every gorge and encouraged us to "walk out of our comfort zone" and explore and see beauty.
At 64, I was truly "charged" to have completed the walks and felt such a sense of accomplishment. We had wonderful experiences of touring Rio Tinto Iron Ore Mine and the Newman Open Cut Mine.
All up we travelled 2125 klms over nine days and to Dave and Danielle, on behalf of us all, thanks a million for a fantastic and value for money trip.
Some of us have booked on the Outback Tracks Tour next month because we had so much fun on the Pilbara trip.
All the best guys and hope to see you on more adventures.
Evelyn. Pilbara private tour August 2014
The 5-day Top End Safari was absolutely fabulous. As a single and very adventurous mum, I took my 11-year-old-son , my 14-year-old-daughter and my 15-year-old-niece.Danielle clearly adores her job -- and so knows her birds, the tales of the land, the topography, the history, and she also knows how to pick the perfect accommodation for a great mix between comfort and adventure. She is really easy-going on one hand, but extremely organised with all of the details of the trip that go unnoticed by the passengers who are shown a wonderful adventure through Kakadu, Katherine and Litchfield. I hate over-touristed experiences, and Danielle’s trip was absolutely perfect for that great mix of seeing lots of wonderful things, learning history, learning about wildlife and having a very down-to-earth meal at the end of each day. Katherine, 5 Day Top End Parks, July 2012
The nine day tour from Darwin to Broome during July 2012 proved to be a sensational experience for the four of us who were travelling with David. Our family, including two fifteen year old boys, all enjoyed the vast landscape, exploration of gorges, walks and waterfalls. The insight provided by David based on his extensive life experience, added so much more to our understanding of the history of the area than could have been anticipated. The waterfalls, lagoons, mountain ranges and wildlife captured our attention from the start to the finish. It is an experience which generated hundreds of photographs and a lifetime of memories. The McFadden Family, Kimberley charter 2012
Dear Danni, Thank you so very much for your wonderful personalised tour.
Your insight, knowledge and happy manner provided an experience that we will always remember. Hopefully we will be able to join another of your tours (in the future) to other exciting places. Certainly we will be telling our friends and family about Sacred Earth Safaris. Cathy and Kenneth, 5 day TE 5th May 2013
We joined the 10 days Kimberley tour in June 2011 and the trip has been extraordinary! We arrived with almost no knowledge of flora, fauna and indigenous culture, but Dave has changed it at once. Many stories at the campfire and even more information during walking and driving - in such an active and figurative language! Always mixed with great humor - where fitted. The chosen spots are fantastic and even the alternative program that had to be taken due to closed roads has excelled our expectations. Thanks again, Danni and Dave, for organization and guiding this tour. For sure, it had been one of our bests!
Heike and Ulrike, 10 days Kimberleys Broome - Darwin, June 2011
Michael and I have just returned from a fun four day trip to picturesque Victor Harbor, historic Goolwa and the great McLaren vale wineries. The beaches are gorgeous, the commentary of the history of the area from Danni was fascinating and the stone cottages and art and craft shops are a must. The highlight for us was the steam train from Victor Harbor to Goolwa wharf where an old Paddle steamer is moored and we enjoyed the wine tasting afterwards at the Ballast Stone cellar door. Everyone stops and waves as the train goes past and we were grinning and waving the whole 30 minute trip. Everywhere is close so it is easy to fit in on a long weekend except for Kangaroo Island which is one we will be doing with Sacred Earth Safaris on our next trip to South Australia. Michael and Jan, 4 day private tour of the Fleurieu Peninsular, Jan 2012
Having read all the testimonials on your website there is little I can add. Everything your clients praised was true. Dave was super organised and was great company with a wide knowledge of the rock art (and with fascinating asides that I have never heard before), and of the flora amd fauna of this magnificent country we live in. The accommodation was excellent, bush bungalows, cabins and cook's cottage very comfortable with good beds and spotlessly clean. Dave was very aware of our capabilities as far as walking but never made us feel embarassed. We enjoyed the Yellow Water Wetland cruise with its wonderful birds (not to mention crocodiles)..better than Africa... and the swims and waterfalls and the beautiful Katherine Gorge and the helicopter view. I think we were very lucky to see the Top End in all its seasons in 5 days...pouring rain, overflowing walks and extreme heat. The food was great. Thank you Dave.Mike and Dizzy, 5 Day Top End Parks, October 2010
The trip was made much more enjoyable with David and Danielle looking after us at all times. We did not have to worry about food, travelling, directions or even setting up camp ! It was luxury to be able to go swimming at our own pace, decide where we wanted to spend our time and food would always be ready when we finished. The hikes were crammed full of interesting information, which we would not have found ourselves, David had a lot of interesting stories about indigenous culture and a great sense of humour too ! Both guides were excellent with our kids and took real time and effort to include them in everything they did. The food was excellent with proper coffee for breakfast, BBQ steaks and picnic lunches all presented with flair. The kids were very excited about the Bush Bungalows you booked for us and we will all remember the spectacular scenery. Tan Family, private tour to Kakadu and Litchfield, Oct 2010
We set off on what we thought was a holiday and thanks to Dave and Danielle, it turned out to be an adventure so inspiring that we have returned to our daily lives enriched by the amazing knowledge that Dave shared with us and with the realisation of how beautiful our country is in so many more ways than we ever could have imagined ! Dave had thought of everything and was so generous in his consideration of us all in so many ways- our trip has left us with a thirst for more knowledge and adventure along with the desire to just have another exciting and inspiring holiday someday soon !
If you are looking for a Kimberley holiday of a lifetime, then you should use Sacred Earth Safaris. Dave, our guide, was the most informative, knowledgeable and truly awesome individual. There was nothing he did not know about the terrain and planned the most enviable tour ever. Our camping trip was a dream even though this was the first camping i have ever done. He looked after all my friends- all five of them. It take a rather unique person to cope and entertain 6 female non- campers. It was our best holiday yet, even when comparing it to our Europe Trip. Just unbelievable.......
Robyn and Janette , Kimberley, September 2009
I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful Top End experience we had with you. We all enjoyed every aspect of it. We loved the camping and we all pitched in and helped. You made it all so easy right from the beginning and your communication was excellent, keeping us informed right up to departure. I really appreciated hat, especially in these days of booking fairly blindly on the internet. I feel that your attention to detail is amazing. You anticipated everything we could possibly need and more. We must thank you for sending Peter to us. Hugh and Hayley were full of how much they learned from him and nothing was too much trouble. He made the trip so enjoyable. Thank you again for making dreams come true.Philippa Savage and family, 5 Day Top End Parks, May 2009
Hi Danielle, I just wanted to mention briefly that we had a fantastic time. We travel a fair bit and try to do 1 or 2 interesting holidays a year and this holiday has been the best one yet. I appreciate that yourself and Dave put a lot of work in behind the scenes to make things work smoothly. With regards to our guide Dan- i really could not imagine a better guide. He was great with the kids and the boys loved him. He was highly knowledgeable and taught us a lot- he was also a very careful and safe driver which was important to me, especially on some of those roads. It was certainly a very memorable holiday. Rob Turner and family, Top End private tour, July 2009
Dear Danni, i have done a few tours in Western Australia during the last 5 years and can say that i have now seen how luxury and travelling the Outback can be combined. It was an excellent trip, mostly thanks to Jason, our guide. He was great company, showed us the sights and gave lots of great information. Best parts- the scenery along the way- I very much enjoyed the views- it’s a beautiful country out there. The sights, the swims, walks etc. were excellent but the best part to me was taking in the views and travelling through the Kimberley. Jos Van Der Meche, 10 day Kimberley 2009
It has been a month since we returned from our Top End Safari- we had an amazing time and we got to see everything we wanted to in the 3 National Parks. The view from Gunlom Falls was really worth the climb and to swim at the top in the beautiful pools was just a real treat. We loved the scenery and Katherine Gorge and the birdlife at Yellow Waters was amazing. So thank you for arranging our tour and making it all so easy to see and do what we did. Once our guide picked us up we did not have to worry about any arrangements because it was all done for us. And i think that was the best part about the trip.Judith and Tony Vidler, 5 day Top End Parks Safari, June 2009
I just got home and I wanted to be in touch to say a huge thanks for such a great trip. I had such a fantastic time – I was quite blown away by the Kimberley and how incredibly beautiful and diverse it is. Now I am back at work all I can think about is how long it will take before I can get myself back up there to see more! Thanks so much David for everything you did to show and teach us about the landscape, the art, the plants and animals, the people and life up there, I learnt such a lot. I really do feel like I got to pack in the most I possibly could in two weeks as a result. Thanks also for a lot of laughs! You guys have a great set up - the organisation behind everything to make things run so smoothly is really spot on, the camping was the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced, and the crud was tops. Not having to cook was an unexpected luxury. Great salads! Melissa Clements, Kimberley 2007
The Kimberley trip was absolutely fantastic! Breathtaking scenery, great hiking through the gorges, incredible art sites, and the most fun camping ever. David, you are a spectacular guide. You made sure we saw all of the best art, plants and BIRDS, caught some barra, and had top-notch dinners around the campfire. You shared so much of your knowledge with us and we learned so much. We could not decide whether we enjoyed your cooking or your sense of humor better- both were awesome. We loved every moment of our trip, Thank you! Russ, Sally & Melissa, Kimberley 2006
I am very pleased to let you know that Helen and I had a wonderful two days at Kakadu, made all the more wonderful due to the professional, friendly and accommodating approach by our guide, Al. Al was very aware that as "mature-aged" clients we needed a little more time and a lot of his patience to get through some of the activities, and he met those requirements graciously and willingly. Al entertained Helen on the second morning whilst I enjoyed a flight over Jim Jim and Twin Falls, which was spectacular. I would like to thank Sacred Earth for the wonderful tour, and I strongly request that you pass on our heartfelt thanks to Al. We recommended Sacred Earth to three lovely people we met at Uluru, so I hope they take advantage of the quality tour we so much enjoyed.John & Helen, Kakadu 2008
Just emailing to thank you,David and your 2 excellent and capable tour guides, Tony and Annette for organising such a wonderful safari holiday for us and Anne. We had a wonderful time and are still regaling our family and friends with inspiring tales of the Top End. Both trips were fantastic- we experienced so much, learned such a lot, saw incredible sights and thoroughly enjoyed our outback adventures with Tony and Annette. You run a very professional and friendly outfit and are to be congratulated on all fronts. We loved the mix of sites visited and believe your itineraries offered a great balance in respect to indigenous culture, wildlife, landscape and places of interest. Thanks once again. Heather and Graham, 10 day Kimberley and 5 day Top End Parks safari, 2008
I'm sure you get these all the time, but I have
to tell you how extraordinary the trip through the Kimberley was
for me. Ron, David and I had a great time. I loved the hikes. The
landscapes were incredible. Dave was a hoot, of course. Loved your
stories Dave and learned a ton from you. Thanks a million times
over.Lisa Eaves, Kimberley 2007
Just wanted to say a belated “thank you “for the great trip we had last month. It was a great balance of activities, everything was well organised and Annette was a lovely guide. It was the best family holiday we’ve had. Christin, 5 day Top End Parks safari, 2008
We have just returned from our trip around Australia and wanted to send you a note to say how much we enjoyed our 4WD safari with Alan. He was a terrific guide and great company. The whole trip was so well organised and we were made very comfortable - the food was excellent. It was a trip of a lifetime and taught us so much about the indigenous people of Australia as well as enjoying your country with all its wild and wonderful ways and magnificent scenery. You have a very professional and friendly company, thank you so much.Michael & Helen, Kakadu 2007
Our 13 day Kimberley experience has to be described
as the trip of a lifetime. Each day as we travelled through this
remote region of Australia we sampled the magnificent diverse landscape
of our ancient continent. We were extremely privileged to have had
David as our guide as his expert knowledge gave us a better understanding
of the land and its indigenous people and his clever wit kept us
constantly amused. David also had the knack of arriving at destinations
when no-one else was there, so we could soak up the serenity in
peace. We never felt like “tourists”. Being a small
tour group we were never rushed and were taken to areas impossible
for larger groups to access. The whole tour was packed with fun,
laughter, learning and adventure. Peter & Bev, Kimberley 2007
I wanted to send you this quick note to tell you thank you for helping to make our trip through the Kimberley with David so incredible. Really the experience was magical and although we only saw a small part of this vast area, we are certain that we want to come back. David’s knowledge, experience and passion is what made the trip so interesting – you were right when you said that we had the best guide around! The transportation and accommodation were comfortable and the food delicious. The tent was nice and kept us warm on the few nights when it got chilly and damp.
