Sacred Earth Safari’s conduct small group 4WD tours to Kakadu, Kimberley, Pilbara, the Red Centre, Cape York, Tasmania and through South Australia. We're based in Darwin during the winter months (May- October) and also have a base in South Australia year-round.

Sacred Earth Safaris is proud to be an Australian Accredited Tourism Business and we hold a variety of licenses, accreditations and permits which enable us to operate tours through many parts of Australia.

Sacred Earth Safaris is owned and operated by husband and wife team David and Danielle. They're experienced 4WD enthusiasts with a passion for nature, culture and the Outback and feel privileged to be able to share their passion and enthusiasm with their passengers.

David leads the majority of our tours, but Danielle leads a few tours as well as running our office and behind the scenes operations. So you will be looked after by one of them (unless something unexpected occurs). We understand holidays are precious times so we do the hard work for you, giving you plenty of time to relax, laugh and enjoy !

Mitchell FallsWe’ve designed our itineraries based on our experience and feedback from past passengers (we really do listen !). We visit popular sights and some lesser known places as well as our little secret spots that we don’t include on our itineraries ! We try our best to cater for individual interests as well, so if you have a particular interest or if you’re celebrating a special occasion- please let us know. Travelling in a genuine small group offers more flexability and gives us more time to explore.

David is a Territorian, with 30 years of tour guiding experience. He grew up on cattle stations and Aboriginal communities and gained a respect and understanding of the land and culture from an early age. He was one of the first to lead Kakadu tours, had 4 years guiding in Central Australia and has been taking Kimberley safaris to the region for over 25 years, so he's likely to be the most experienced guide in Northern Australia.

With extensive knowledge of Aboriginal rock art and culture, bush tucker,Walking into the Bungle Bungles flora, fauna, natural history and geology , David has assisted in the making of several documentary programs, including “The World Around Us” on such networks as CNN and the BBC. He has also been an advisor for several books on the Top End.

David is available for specialist Aboriginal rock art tours on a private charter basis, focussing on the art through Northern Australia, where there are a variety of styles and techniques. Please contact us for further details.

Danielle has worked in various roles in the tourism industry over the years, including working as a hotel receptionist, travel agent and tour company management (for Sacred Earth Safaris and other companies). She has been tour guiding, on & off, for 13 years and is particularly passionate about Kakadu and the Top End. Don't ask her to pick a favourite spot because she says they're all different and she loves them all !

We understand there are a lot of tour companies to look at on the internet and it can be confusing so here are our

Points of difference :

1/ We're owner operated and lead our tours ourselves, offering a personalized service. From the moment you enquire and book, to the tour itself, you are dealing with one of the business owners. This also gives us added flexibility during our tours, as we don't have to call an office to make changes !

2/ Our group size is between 10- 15 passengers on scheduled tours, meaning you get more personalized attention from your guide, individual interests can be catered for and we have more time everywhere than the larger groups.

3/ Our tours are easy paced with plenty of time everywhere. There's nothing worse than getting somewhere and having to rush ! Plenty of time for swimming, photos and to enjoy.

4/ We pay attention to detail, as the little things really do count !

5/ We have very comfortable 4WD vehicles, which were selected for this reason, as well as superb mechanical and off road capabilities.

6/ All days are touring days so when we say it's a 9 day tour, it's 9 full days of touring- we don't include your arrival or departure day and we don't give you "free days" when nothing is included. We believe this offers you the best value for money.

7/ We offer a 10% discount for seniors card holders when they book direct.

8/ David has over 30 years tour guiding experience, Danielle has 13 years and we also have many years experience running tour businesses, working in other areas of the tourism industry and offering bus transfers from remote Aboriginal communities. We travel in remote destinations where conditions can change and experience does matter ! You can be rest assured that you're in safe, experienced hands.

We take pride in every aspect of our small group tours to Kakadu, Kimberley and Outback South Australia. Providing a personalised service with attention to detail, we're dedicated to looking after you and giving you an interesting, memorable and enjoyable holiday in some of the most beautiful parts of Australia.

We love what we do and we're often told it shows- we would LOVE to show you !
